Hello LJ, I've missed you. :-)

~Finally done working before the big London Trip. Six days. I leave in six days! Here is just a partial list of the stuff I want to see:


The Tower/Crown Jewels
Tower Bridge
St. Paul's Cathedral
A Palace (Buckingham, Windsor or Kensington?)
Globe Theatre
Westminster Abbey
Parliament/Big Ben (tour or just a look from the outside?)
British Museum
Imperial War Museum (Need a pic of the Bullet in a Bible, natch)
London Eye (maybe)
Thames sightseeing tour
Abbey Road
At least one of the Markets (Covent Garden, Borough, Camden, Portobello)
Piccadilly Circus/Leicester Square
British Library

~This is in addition to the three days in Reading. There are just too many bands I want to see. Woe is me.

~I've been listening A LOT to the new CD from Blaqk Audio. That's the side project of Davey and Jade of AFI. It's basically 80s techno-pop. It reminds me of lot of Depeche Mode, if that means anything to any of you folks. sick_of_me03 and I tried to get tickets to their show at the Mayan Theatre in LA, but surprise...they sold out instantly. (It's a 1000 person venue.)

~I cracked up at our little email from Billie Joe. It sounds like he actually might have written it himself.

~Gawd, I must have a boring life. I can't think of anything else interesting to talk about.

As much as we are interested in reclaiming our lost youth, one of the advantages of our mature status is the financial ability to NOT have to camp in the mud. So while the hoi polloi are getting grungy, we will be staying at the Reading Ibis Hotel.

I do plan on being the London Tourist From Hell™. Well, except for the sandles with black socks and the camera around the neck.
