Hello LJ, I've missed you. :-)

~Finally done working before the big London Trip. Six days. I leave in six days! Here is just a partial list of the stuff I want to see:

The Tower/Crown Jewels
Tower Bridge
St. Paul's Cathedral
A Palace (Buckingham, Windsor or Kensington?)
Globe Theatre
Westminster Abbey
Parliament/Big Ben (tour or just a look from the outside?)
British Museum
Imperial War Museum (Need a pic of the Bullet in a Bible, natch)
London Eye (maybe)
Thames sightseeing tour
Abbey Road
At least one of the Markets (Covent Garden, Borough, Camden, Portobello)
Piccadilly Circus/Leicester Square
British Library

~This is in addition to the three days in Reading. There are just too many bands I want to see. Woe is me.

~I've been listening A LOT to the new CD from Blaqk Audio. That's the side project of Davey and Jade of AFI. It's basically 80s techno-pop. It reminds me of lot of Depeche Mode, if that means anything to any of you folks. [livejournal.com profile] sick_of_me03 and I tried to get tickets to their show at the Mayan Theatre in LA, but surprise...they sold out instantly. (It's a 1000 person venue.)

~I cracked up at our little email from Billie Joe. It sounds like he actually might have written it himself.

~Gawd, I must have a boring life. I can't think of anything else interesting to talk about.

~Hope everyone is having a good night.

MARY MARY MARY!!! I MISS YOU, DOLL. We must have an epic chat before you skip across the pond. :) I know I've been a bit MIA lately, but I'm happy to report that all is ridiculously well, and my sort of unplanned hiatus was very productive. I got tons of stuff done that I needed to, and I plan on being around more online. :)

XOXOXOXO. I have seriously missed you though! I'm heading to bed soon, but I will be on tomorrow if perhaps we can squeeze in a chat! ♥

*smooches* :)

Awesome!! See you later, alligator! (yes, I'm five, but you knew that! :p I missed ya, honey.)

OH! I'm working on my UK recap as we speak, since I know you wanted to read it before you left!

*slithers off to continue* :)

Ps, remind me to tell you later but... I GOT A WORK PROMOTION! *breaks out the wine and chocolate* :)

A Palace (Buckingham, Windsor or Kensington?)

Roffle. OUR PALACES, LET US SHOW YOU THEM. See also: OUR CASTLES.

Oh, I should probably note - Big Ben? I don't know if you've heard about this already, but it's quite important.

P.S. CAMDEN CAMDEN CAMDEN CAMDEN CAMDEN CAMDEN CAMDEN CAMDEN CAMDEN.

Yes, that was brilliant to stop Big Ben from chiming at the height of tourist season. But it will still make a nice picture.

Camden. Got it.

Well, we have neither palaces or castles in this country, so I figure I must see at least one.

Firstly, YAY for the GGD! Way to take up the banner :)

WOW - that Reading line up is huge! I have never ever been to any thing like one of those huge UK festivals, so I am so envious of you (also cause I'd kill to go back to London and explore again). Are you doing the whole camping out in tents and getting grungy for days thing? I think that would be an awesome experience - take pics and tell us all about it for sure!

And your London sightseeing list? Pretty comprehensive I must say. For pure touristy stuff, you must see Buckingham Palace and the Tower/Crown Jewels. *hopes UK flist doesn't laugh*

As much as we are interested in reclaiming our lost youth, one of the advantages of our mature status is the financial ability to NOT have to camp in the mud. So while the hoi polloi are getting grungy, we will be staying at the Reading Ibis Hotel.

I do plan on being the London Tourist From Hellâ„¢. Well, except for the sandles with black socks and the camera around the neck.

I'm seriously jealous of that Reading line up. Wow. You're gonna have to like, take notes or something in order to give us a full report. And of course, you need to be sure and ogle Audrey and Marisa's boys for them. ;)

And randomly, winner for the best name of a band Barb's never heard of goes to... Get Cape Wear Cape Fly

GTC for Barb! EEEEeeeeeeeeee! I feel all special. =)

How am I ever gonna figure out which bands to see? How? Every FBR band is there. The Living End, I definitely can not miss. I'll be running back and forth between stages like a mad woman. I just noticed that Cold War Kids, the band Marisa just saw, is there too.

I want to see The Academy Is... just so I can figure out how Beckett keeps his pants on.

COLD WAR KIDS ARE A MUST.

I'm sorry, did I just butt in there? ;) But seriously, if you can catch them, you should definitely try. And they are yet another reason why the Reading lineup makes me weep with joy and sadness that I am NOT THERE.
