This and That
Jan. 7th, 2010 11:51 pm~We had an earthquake at about 10AM this morning. It was only a 4.1 (centered near Fremont, actually) and it lasted about 20 seconds. At first I thought it was my cats messing around on my bed, but when I looked up, that wasn't the case. Then
feels_like_fire IMed me with "Did you feel that?" and I figured it out. I've lived in California virtually my entire life, so earthquakes are a ho-hum for me, but since this was my first quake since I moved to San Francisco, I felt it was worth memorializing in my poor neglected LJ.
~Looking forward to seeing Pinhead Gunpowder in February at the Gilman and seeing some old friends again. I don't think it's been officially announced yet, but it's nice to have enough friends deep in the fandom to hear this stuff through the grapevine. Saw them a couple of times when they crawled out of their cave almost two years ago, I even managed to film their performance at the Troubadour for posterity. :-) It cracks me up that Green Day can't stay away from their side projects for long.
~I'm still pretty stoked about my NYE concert with Adam Lambert. Now all the videos and pictures are showing up, and it's really cool to be able to relive it (with better audio!). Adam is going to be on Oprah in a couple weeks with Susan Boyle, of all people! How's that for an odd couple? Two reality TV show losers who outsold the winners must be the theme. Can't wait to see how that goes down. Kinda hoping she doesn't have them out at the same time.
~To repeat my bitching tonight with
and_ed: If you know any good authors who are casting about for a new fandom, please introduce them to Adam. Thanks.
~Boy, I'm boring. :-) Hope y'all are leading more interesting lives. In a good way.
