My 1 year concert-iversary!

One year ago today I went to my first Green Day concert at the SaveMart Center in Fresno, California. I bought tix for $100 on eBay, and talked a woman at work into going with me.

I had been entranced by American Idiot for the previous 10 months or so, but in the span of two hours I was transformed into a fanatic.

A few days later I discovered [livejournal.com profile] comingclean, in January I signed up for an LJ, and the rest, as they say, is history!

In honor of the occasion, I present to you a video from that very same show. This was a song not on the regular setlist, performed especially for a guest in the audience.

The guest: Chris Relva
The song: J.A.R. -- his brother.

Green Day -- J.A.R. Fresno, CA 1 Oct 05 32 MB

Enjoy!

Happy Concert-versity! Tis a day for celebration. I had no idea they played J.A.R. Fresno, so thanks for the linkage. They did play it in Carson, though--along with Homecoming and *I think* Maria...I started getting drunk towards the end, so the memory's fuzzy.

Now I gotta get ready to post my concert reflections and shmoopiness (with pics!) for the 9th. It's been an awesome year. I've gotten to know so many great people in this time.

Nothing in the world like fandom. *happy sigh*

Dude, how was your job interview, anyway?

It went okay. I got sick like halfway through it. My stomach did a lurch and I wanted to bolt so bad. I don't even remember half of the shit she was saying.

But...the position was for In-patient and I *really* don't want to do that. So she asked me if it was something I was interested in, and I was like "Honestly..in-patient hospital isn't something I'm looking for," but the lady was so cool so she put me down that I perfered Out-patient hospital, so she said she'll call me in a week. I dunno...we'll see. I'm not sure I want to be a Pharmacist.

Hey, it's actually a good thing you were honest.

And I wouldn't be too concerned about the career choice self-doubt either...Pharmacist is actually a pretty good job. There are enough different practice situations that you can find something that suits you. Think of it this way: It will pay you well enough so you can do the things you really want to do!
