So I'm off. Again. To drive four hours to San Francisco. To see Green Day. At a club. With 575 of my closest friends. Kat is already in line. Tix at the door only, no advance sales. $20. The rumor is that they've booked the club for 3 1/2 hours, so we may be in for a doozy. Wish us luck. XOXOXOXOXOXO

Wednesday at the Uptown

Hey Mary:

It's me Punkinhead/Seattle Diane from the FBHT Rolling Stone review and those awesome Green Day shows in Oakland last week. I'm finally well enough to sit upright for more than a few minutes at a time. My answer to your headline, is "Yes, we're effing nuts! And man, does it pay off sometimes!" 4/14 and 4/15/09 are nights that now rank as two of the highest points ever, and the only intoxicant involved was a band named after getting high--if that makes sense. They sure got me off. From the look on your face after the Uptown show, you too.

Hey, how can I reach Kat to thank her for the drumstick? That was incredibly thoughtful of her and made my wild-ass, last minute trip to the Bay all the more memorable. I'll bet she's still walking on a ceiling somewhere. I'd also love to read any recaps she may have written, as well as yours. I was just one person over from you two, but I imagine it was a whole other show from where you were standing.

It was great to see you and finally match the face w/a name. Hope you're well. See you in my neck of the woods, oh say, around July 3rd???

Welcome to LJ! That was pretty f-ing special Wednesday, wasn't it?

Kat did the mega-write up, but it's friends-locked. Her lj name is feels_like_fire. Just add her and she'll add you back, then you can read it. She'll be happy to hear from you. I wrote up the DNA show on the 9th here.

The wonderful and_ed lives in the Vancouver area, so I will probably fly to V-couver, drive down with her to Seattle, go to the show, then drive back up to V-couver for that show, then fly home. Because I can! :-) I'll see you then!
