I just went back about 100 entries, which is about 10 days or so, looking for Billie Joe/Mike slash, which is about all I read these days. I kid you not, if you exclude drabbles and young!Billie/Mike (because I doubt anyone can ever improve upon
al_teregoz's seminal work), there were all of about half a dozen Billie/Mike fics. Seriously.
What's up with that? When did everyone turn into a Billie/Tré 'shipper?

Date: 2006-04-27 09:07 am (UTC)Because Tas explained it so well, I'll refer you to her journal entry here, where she explained it all to me. I took her advice, opened up Billie's and Mike's journals in two tabs, and started at the beginning, reading both journals in chronological order. It took a couple days, but I was hooked.
You can read my initial reaction here. I fell in love with the story like you fall in love with a favorite book. It's a blast to read. If you like Billie/Mike, you'll love it. :-)

Date: 2006-04-30 03:43 am (UTC)And in terms of the Est, we finally, finally are getting back to writing. We finished the Billie/Mike log we were working on; that should go up within a couple days, it just needs editing. You have no idea how good it feels to be writing them again, it's like I'd lost two of my best friends. Ow. *kisses*
And WORD on the lack of Billie/Mike. It's...kind of weird for me to read other people writing Billie *sheepish* but I'm still always righteously indignant about it.
Ironically, I would argue that Billie/Mike is more likely than Billie/Tré IRL, and my reasoning for this is because Billie flirts so blatantly with Tré and, as having once been part of a relationship that was (unfortunately, it's a long story) hidden from all our friends? When you're actually fucking someone, and you don't want anyone to know, you don't even so much as flirt. You play it as cool as possible, like you're just friends, and you don't kiss or sit in each others' laps or anything like that. Does that make sense? (Part of it is certainly that I can barely even read Billie/Tré, much less ever write it, now that I've invested so heavily in a Billie/Mike storyline *laughs* but the reason I STARTED writing Billie/Mike rather than Billie/Tre was because I found it much more likely.) /ramble
*kisses* Thank you again for the Warfield files, sugar. I think I thanked you before, but still--can't be said enough. :)
