A small ray of hope...

We got semi-official word from Gale's publicist (Nancy Seltzer & Associates) today:



"Gale Harold is out of intensive care and improving daily. A full recovery is expected. He thanks everyone for their good wishes."

We've heard this before, so I am only partially reassured, but it's better than nothing. When I see a photograph and get a return date to his role on DH, I'll stop being such a pessimist. I'm still afraid he'll have to be written out of the series.

A rumor is flying around that he was not wearing a helmet, but that is unsubstantiated.

I really do hope he is OK.

Exactly. Although I still have my worries about the possibility of cognitive deficits, it's entirely possible he can recover without any at all. Fingers and toes crossed.

I really have a hard time understanding why anybody would want to ride around on a motorcycle without a helmet. Staying alive > good hair.

No kidding -- that's why we call them donor-cycles. I have heard that in general, Gale does wear a helmet. This rumor was from an iffy source. I imagine the fandom will find out eventually.

Well...I think that is really optimistic. Why say that full recovery bit if its not true - its much worse if you have to backtrack after that. They could have as easily just left it at improving.

So *hugs* for you, hon...and if it turns out he wasn't wearing a helmet on that pretty little head, I'ma hunt him down and kick his pretty little ass. *nods*
