I'm Home! Yay!
Apr. 11th, 2008 05:39 pmFirst, let me say that I can not exaggerate how much I missed you all. Really. Thank you for the welcome home messages
loser_and_user, and to
and_ed for a handy-dandy bullet point doc on all that I missed!
I am slowly working my way down the flist, but feel free to direct me to anything you think I really need to see, in case I miss it! Thanks for all the info about bearded!Billie and of course, The Foxboro Hot Tubs. Special thanks to
delfina_nothing. *wink*
My trip was amazing on several levels. I have been on half a dozen different live-aboard dive boats, and this one was head and shoulders above the rest. The service, crew, and food were top-notch.
The diving was indescribable--some of the finest, most unusual, most stunning I have ever done. Sites that have probably been dived by fewer than a hundred people, creatures I've never seen before, coral gardens that stretched forever, 86 F water. And my last dive of the trip was Number 400 for me too! I have a few hundred pictures to go through, but I will try to post a couple soon.
Indonesia is beautiful and the people were very friendly, but it is still jarring to see the squalor and poverty that exists in places like Jakarta -- just as in many major third world cities.
Very happy belated birthday wishes go out to

Wow, four bdays in less than 2 weeks on my flist! I hope you all had a wonderful time. ('specially Audrey!)
It really is great to be home. My cats have already forgiven me!
