Well I am so fucking proud of myself!
I stuffed the ballot box for a reason.
The number one Grammy performance: Green Day -- "American Idiot"
And it was!
Amazing!
Billie Joe Armstrong is amazing too. (In case you didn't know I felt that way.)
The whole show was actually really fun to watch. There was a lot of great music.

I was uber excited and proud to the point of tears...as well as surprised. Man! I can hardly wait to see them live!!!

Date: 2007-12-01 05:20 pm (UTC)I kept watching, and waiting, and waiting..... I honestly never in a million years expected them to come first. Not because they didn't deserve to - because seriously, the power and intensity and sheer "holy-fuck-ness" of their performance blew everything else away - but because I never imagined they could top a program that historically is so stuffy. I'm pretty much handing it all to you!! I was actually pleasantly surprised by quite a few of the performances chosen - there really was some good stuff there.
And was Billie not just (again!) the sweetest, humblest guy? And in the jean jacket too *sigh*
