Johnny got old and bitter, huh? I suppose he's trying to be 'edgy' or something but he just comes off pathetic. Sad. And whatever anyone's opinion of GD's music or whether they ever were truly punk or not, saying that they forgot all the (punk) bands that laid the groundwork before them is beyond ridiculous, a lie that's obviously dispelled by pretty much every interview they've ever given.

However, I like some of the discussion in the comments - especially the poster who said Billie named his kids Joey and Ramona and the person who corrected that. =)

Oh man - I read that earlier this week. He's a sad little bitter man. And a sad little bitter man that really doesn't have any talent, and was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time and somehow got swept along with a massive cultural moment. Sure that album was "important" in the whole punk movement, but man Johnny - it doesn't mean YOU were important. Seriously - the band was formed to plug clothes for a clothing shop or something weren't they?? Not really the noblest of ideas, to be a living marketing ploy.
