But new to me.

I stumbled across this interview in stuffmagazine.com tonight. It's dated 9 Sept 04, about 2 weeks before American Idiot was released. I found a lot of it very interesting, but this last question cracked me up because I just posted in luthien123's journal tonight about how the boys seemed to like homoerotisism.

MIKE: We never plan any chaos. Swinging from the chandelier on the second floor or branding people’s asses with lighters—it’s all spontaneous.
BILLIE JOE: And it’s slightly homoerotic at the same time.
MIKE: But when we were kids, we were shits. I remember times when we would walk block after block over the hoods of cars or just roll bowling balls down the steepest streets in Seattle. We’re not idiots anymore.
BILLIE JOE: Now we just have alcohol problems.

*snicker* Master of the understatement there. Although I suppose that swinging from the chandelier could be construed as a solo act. *giggles* I enjoy that interview.
