It was 40 years ago today...



Often considered the best rock album ever made (and pretty much always in the top 5), Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was released on 1 June 1967.

It was the first album to come with printed lyrics, and in some ways marked the point where the album became more than important than the single as a musical format.

Forty Years. WOW!
