My Life Sucks Ass Right Now....

revidYeah, I'm supposed to be in Vancouver right now. But, I'm not. I'm in McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. Did you know they had free wi-fi there? Well, I know now. Don't click on the cut if you are offended by certain four letter anglo-saxonisms.
Arrrgh! No wonder they call it America Worst! I knew it was a mistake to book a flight from San Luis Obispo to Vancouver via Phoenix! It didn't seem so fucking stupid at the time. So I get to Phoenix and all is hunky-dory. The Phoenix-Vancouver flight leaves on time, too. Wow! Batting two for two. Then about an hour into the flight, the captain comes on the overhead to say we're diverting to LV because of something about air conditioning/compressor/whatever. Las Fucking Vegas! Well, they both have the letter V in them.
So they trundle us off the plane, then about 30 min. later, tell us that they need to bring in a new plane, and BTW it won't be arriving here until 4:45. Meaning it won't be in Vancouver until 8:00pm. I was supposed to be in YVR at 1:35. Why am I so pissed off? Because I have both a connecting flight and a ferry to catch. I can change my connecting flight, but it arrives in Campbell River at 10:30. Guess what time the last ferry leaves Campbell River? Ten-fucking-thirty five!
No earlier flight. I did manage to leave a message for the friends I was supposed to meet in YVR. This sucks! It isn't like I can rent a private boat or swim across the frickin' water. So now I have to pay for a hotel room in Campbell River. And my compensation from American West for this? A meal voucher for $5.00. Bastards!!

al_teregoz has posted another chapter to her wonderful fic, so I can go read that now and get cheered up. Or try anyway. Grrrrrrrr!
