revidSo, boredom. Had a lovely lazy week, although I did manage to get a few work related things accomplished from home via computer, so I don't feel too slothful.
I also decided that in honor of my recent LJ-versary, it was time to spruce the old baby up. I've had the same layout since about one month in, and seeing all the pretty updates around the flist was making me jealous. And that's when things spiraled out of control. I suddenly had to learn about all that stuff like S1 and S2 and Styles and Themes and Layers and custom CSS. I really wanted a pretty header pic, so I found a layout on![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
premade_ljs that was based on S2 Smooth Sailing (which is [was] my current Style) that had one and copied the Custom CSS, and read the FAQ and learned how to install it. But then I wanted to change the colors, then the background, then the fonts, then the size...you get the picture.
So I've spent the last 3 days or so trying to teach myself CSS, and trying to get it to look the way I want mostly by trial and error. I even set up a dummy LJ because I was afraid of messing this one up irrevocably somehow. I'll probably continue to tweak stuff, just because it's kind of addicting.
Hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday. A little public service announcement: Although there isn't nearly the AFI love around here that there is for some other bands *coughpanicmcrfobcough*, Davey the glitter princess himself and the boys will be on Saturday Night Live tonight. Set your TiVos.

I'm kicking myself now for not having recorded it when it was on. I got rather disracted and forgot to put a tape in last night. Youtube vids are just never the same, unfortunately.
