Had a great time last night at the show with my posse! We were down in the second row, and it was hard earned and kept from the under-17 crowd, let me tell you! At one point a girl next to me held up a sign scribbled on a torn piece of paper from a spiral notebook that said "I would do anything to meet you." And she held it up for like 4 songs. Did you really think that would do the trick, honey?

Quick takes:

  • Cute Is What We Aim For -- Next time try aiming for song-writing and stage presence, OK?

  • Plain White T's -- Pleasantly impressed, since the only song I knew was that Delilah song.

  • Gym Class Heros -- I've never quite understood how emo-rock hip-hop became a genre, but it was quite entertaining. And completely in spite of myself, I was won over by Travis, who is one charismatic motherfucker.

  • Fall Out Boy -- Great show, really. Sound was somewhat so-so...probably not their fault. Patrick is far more interesting on stage than he used to be. I think he really needs to get out of Pete's shadow. Pete is a handsome boy, but he needs to watch out that he doesn't become a parody of himself. Like, comb the bangs out of your eyes next time, and The Hoodie Look is getting old. However, for those that care, Pete and Patrick looked very friendly and relaxed together.

I took seven seconds of video during Mr. Brightside which I will upload to YouTube later, but here is my favorite screencap:

Hope you're all enjoying your Friday evening. Ash and I are hanging out waiting for our dose of Billie on TV at 8pm tonight. Sigh. Better than nothing!

Well I am so fucking proud of myself!

I stuffed the ballot box for a reason.

The number one Grammy performance: Green Day -- "American Idiot"

    And it was!

    Amazing!

Billie Joe Armstrong is amazing too. (In case you didn't know I felt that way.)

The whole show was actually really fun to watch. There was a lot of great music.
