Da da da da da da da da-da-da-da!
Aug. 5th, 2007 02:00 pmThis is a three minute clip of the "good parts" of a certain recent animated movie, including the credits. It's not the cell phone filmed-from-the-screen, but rather appears to be a DVD source.

A few random comments:
I love Mike's voice. I would listen to him read a phone book.
Tré should not quit his day job. His delivery of his big line reminds me of those local car dealer commercials where they use their daughter as the spokesperson. However, his OOOOOWWWW when he gets hit in his remaining nut is spot-on...proving practice makes perfect.
In addition to Billie's crouch when he's getting rocks thrown at him, which is exactly how he crouches as someone already pointed out, the animation of him sticking the mic into the audience for them to sing is right on the money. They got his hyperextended elbow and the goofy, child-like look of anticipation on his face perfectly. Someone looked at a video of him before they drew that, I'm certain.
Just in case anyone missed it, the song they play on the violins (Nearer My God to Thee) is famous for being the song the orchestra played as the Titanic went down.
In the trailer released several months ago, they are going down playing their instruments, not violins as in the movie.
And like a lot of people, I got an inexplicable little thrill from seeing Mike and Tré listed in the credits under their real names. Don't ask me why; I have no idea.
There's your Sunday waste of time.
