Yes, I have become a total Green Day geek. Not only am I excited beyond all propriety by my new HLAHG earrings which arrived today, I have convinced myself that they're so subtle that I can wear them anywhere.



And if you tell me otherwise, you'll make me cry.

ETA: Someone on GDC said Billie Joe performed "Alison" with Elvis Costello in Atlantic City tonight! My prayers have been answered. I may pass out from excitement...or melt into another puddle of goo!

Mary they're adorable! *wants* They remind me of what used to be my favourite pair of earrings, til one broke. (Except those were round balls, not flat discs.) Are they really light or do they have some weight to them?

They're real silver, including the backing disc of the design, so while they're not heavy per se, they have a nice solid feeling. I'm very happy with the quality!

Oh! Earrings!

They are understated. Very subtle. Do you think yu'd have to be somewhat "in the know" to recognize them? And if someone's already on to that, maybe they're fellow travelers, if you know what I mean. Then the earrings could be a conversation starter of sorts, and opening to talk about Green Day. Which is always a good thing =)

They're adorable, Mary! And really, so subtle. You'd never know unless you were really examining them closely. I think they look lovely, and you should wear them as often as you like.

In related news, OH MY GOD HE SANG ALISON?!?!?!?! There is a distinct possibility that I might pass out with joy when I watch that, but I can only imagine what you're gonna do! ;)

I can't imagine asking Adrienne for her autograph. Talking to her? Sure. But yeah, that's a tad too stalkerish for me.

I can see Billie Joe being totally embarrassed. He seems really uncomfortable on any stage except his own (where he rules the whole fucking universe, of course.)

I am completely excited to see Billie without his "brothers for life." I'm sure it will be odd, but I doubt we'll ever see Billie Joe Armstrong solo other than something like this.

He *does* seem uncomfortable when not owning the stage, which is part of his charm. It's too bad that the fans in the audience couldn't keep it together and honour Elvis as well. But, them's the breaks I guess.
