So the problem with not posting for a long time is that it becomes harder to post because you think "I CAN NEVER CATCH UP!"

So I won't try. :-)

The big news is that I have moved, and all that entails: sold a house, bought a house, moved (twice--long story), quit a job, got a new one, moved two cats.

I live in the Sunset District of San Francisco. Here's why I love where I live now. Got up, drank my coffee in my breakfast nook looking out at Golden Gate Park. Went to check my email in my study overlooking my koi pond and waterfall. Had to run some errands: Post Office, Library, ATM, Notary Public, pick up some fresh veggies. I was able to do all these things during a walk on a gorgeous, clear, sunny day within 6 blocks of my house. (It would have been 2 blocks except for the Library!) New job is 8 miles away -- appx. 6% of my previous commuting distance.

So, Life Is Good.

In Not Real Life:

Gale's motorcycle accident was over a year ago, and he's back to work, finishing up a movie, so yay, it will be so nice to see his pretty face around again!

I saw Green Day 6 times this year and I love them as hard as ever. Best Live Band in the universe. And they will be on the American Music Awards on the 22nd. They will own my heart forever and ever. That is all.

Which segues nicely (in a "When Fandoms Collide" way) to my fabulous shiny new fandom toy, Adam Lambert. Adam will also be taking the stage at the AMAs, in what I have great hopes will be a "Who in fucking world is THAT?" performance for a large part of the viewing audience. "For Your Entertainment" is an electro-pop dance track -- so NOT my kind of music --but I fully expect an epic performance. His debut CD drops the following day. With the exception of 21st Century Breakdown (of course!), I can't recall the last time I was so excited for a CD. Today they released a b-side that is made of so much awesome, I can't understand why it isn't on the album. It's like Depeche Mode, only transported from the 80s to this decade...for real!

I've missed you LJ...I promise not to neglect you like this again.

Thanks dear! It's been great living so close to Kat. I do love the advantages of city living.

I have a spare bedroom! Come visit!

MARY!! Welcome back; we missed you!! *SMOOCHES*

1) I'm so happy that you're all settled, AND that you live so close to everything. That sounds amazing. Also, will there be pics of the new house?? Your views (and breakfast nook!) sound amazing. :)

2) I fail at all things Green Day, but I did see them at least once so far. They didn't play anywhere else that was feasible for me to get to this year though. SADNESS. Work has been crazy, and we were way understaffed after all the lay offs. (They laid off as many people as they could get away with, which made it crazy on the rest of us.) So this has not been a good year for stalking bands! I heard that GD is doing a spring tour though, so I hope to catch a few more shows at least. Those boys will ALWAYS be own my heart though. :)

3) YAY for Gale! I'm so happy to hear that. :)

4) Adam Lambert makes my brain melt. In a good way, of course. :) His music is NOT my style at all, but it's grown on me a lot. (I blame [livejournal.com profile] linzeestyle for that!) Adam is one hell of an entertainer though, and watching him shake his pretty ass is like Christmas every day. ;)

*HUGS AGAIN* It's great to hear from you, Mary! Don't worry about catching up. Just don't leave us again like that! ;) XOXOXOXO

Love you, babe! :)

COME VISIT ME! I'll make a picture post soon.

I'm sorry work is still kicking your ass. I hope they doubled your salary to make up for it.

Off to read your epic Cobra post!

I would love to visit you again, honey!! ♥ We've got to work that out as soon as it's convenient for us both. :) I miss you so much!! (And I miss California too. It's officially my second home! ♥)

No, I don't get ANY salary comp, but at least I love my job. So there's that. ;)

Ooh, make sure you have a snack first! My recap is LONG!! LOL :)

*SMOOCHES*

I'm off to bed now, but I hope you have a great night, doll! :) *HUGSS* XOXOXOXO

Thank you. LJ is like riding a bike I think--you never really forget! :-)

I'm so freaking excited for the AMAs -- I looked at the poster for it and it's really amazing that Adam's even on the bill: an artist whose first record isn't out with all those A-listers with #1 hits. I have faith he'll hit it out of the park though!

WHAT?! You're back?! :p

I can't judge since I've been gone, too. Glad to hear SF is going well and, in turn, has you in close proximity to everything. I'm so glad you're finally there since I know about the ordeal to get the Pismo house to sale.

AND, guess what? I'll be in SF for the week of December 13th! Me and Kat are going to see Lady Gaga together at the Bill G Civic Cener, haha. :p WE HAVE TO HANG OUT!

I miss you much, dear! XOXOXOXO
