Well, fuck.

Fuck this show. At least I get many hours of my life back now. And I am never, ever going to get emotionally involved in a lame-ass reality show ever again. Ever.

Kris is a great guy, but there was no contest. Really.

But never fear Adam. I will buy your CD. I will buy tickets to your shows. I know you'll do very well. You should have gotten the confetti shower tonight, but you got what you needed out of this awful, awful show.

And now I have that 80% of my fandom brain to devote to my one true musical love, Green Day.

But dude, I'm still watching you!

The thing is, there were people voting for Kris who will never buy a single CD or go to a single concert of his. He was the good married Christian boy, not the evil faggot. And Kris was the underdog. Adam's loss is the producers fault. They thought we were as dumb as they are, so they over-pimped him until people were voting for anyone but. God, I'm pissed.

I watched the finale (even though I've only caught bits and pieces of the whole season) purely out of support for you and your imaginary gay bf and I was all.....wait....what??!?! at the ending. I completely disagreed. Adam is awesome, and perhaps it's a blessing in disguise that he didn't win, so he doesn't have to fight the mold of being an "American Idol" and can just go get himself a record contract and be his own amazing self.

And KISS......hell yeah!! That was so much fun :)

And Queen! I'm so happy he got to sing with Queen. That was the highlight of a shitty night.

unfortunately both first and second place contestants have to sign contracts with American idol now, so no free record contract.

He will still do great, but wtf america??

With Nashville being "Music City" one of the news stations solicited the opinions of some industry experts. The main points in favor for Kris is that he crosses all the genres i.e. more marketable where as Adam is pegged as a rocker only.

I couldn't believe all the guest star power that was on! And Kris performing with my former heart throb totally took me by surprise.

I SOOOO thought of you when I saw KU up there with Kris! I was hoping you were watching!

Kris could definitely do country if he wanted.

*pets* When it was over, I stood up and told the fam, "I have to go on the computer and console Mary now."

It should have been your boy...and yes, I do think he suffered from the over pimping and the anyone but Adam vote.

Never fear, though. He'll do awesome. I predict Kris will, if he makes the right kind of album and gets marketed right, be successful in a Jason Mraz sort of way, while Adam will be huge in a performing on the Grammy's kind of way. =)

And yay for getting your life back! Though its been my pleasure to hold your hand through all this. ;)

Thank you honey! I'm feeling better already. Adam will be OK. As a matter of fact, his ex-bf already tweeted "He's not upset. So why should u be??"

Yes, like I said, it will be nice to have my fandom brain back. :-)

Thanks for the TLC.

*HUGS!!!* It's like I said, your hot Idol B/F will always be around. :) Probably even more so, now. :) I think he should have won too, but at least you've got our beautiful Green Day boys back to soothe your wounded soul!

XOXOXOXO ♥

Well, that sucks. I didn't watch, mostly because you'd have to actually pay me to get me to watch American Idol for longer than one song by one guy, but, yeah, that sucks. Still, seems to me that apart from Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, the people who *don't* win end up having better careers. And Adam def. now has a strong fan base that will support him for years.

Yes. I feel much better now. They're almost being promoted as co-winners. Brian May would like him to sing with Queen, for crying out loud! How bad can losing be!

Kris got a lot of votes from people who will never buy his CD. That's just not the case with Adam.

*hugs* Admittedly tardy, but hugs are always good. :-) Also, I have been meaning to thank you for the fact that I was able to have a decent conversation with my cousin's wife about Adam when I was back in Canada despite not having actually watched a single episode of this season of Idol. *g*

Thank you darling! Hugs are always welcome. The blow has been softened somewhat by how well Adam is handling it and how bright his future looks.

I'm glad I could do my small part to make you look "in the know!"

Remember what you did for linzee for FOB? I'm trying to work on that for Adam with her. Heeheehee.
