The amazing thing is that he is playing the game so much better than the judges and the producers know. This show is over as far as suspense about the winner. Hokey Gokey can just forget about it. They could throw Adam under the bus after every performance and he's still going to win. He may not sell as many records as Kelley or Carrie, but he'll be a bigger star. This is so much fun to watch.

I haven't watched the rest of the show yet, but it appears the consensus is "Adam and... who else was there?" Hard to beat a standing O from the legend who wrote the song.

(Interesting Aside: The reason Adam decided finally to do the American Idol thing was because he had auditioned for the role of Fiyero in the production of "Wicked" that opened last month in San Francisco. (He'd been the Fiyero understudy in the LA production for a year and a half.) When he didn't get the part, that was the last straw. I wonder who the guy that got the part is. Hee.)

Yay for all my friends who went to the premiere of HLAHG last night. I heard the boys didn't show up (or they were in hiding :-( ) but I'm so glad everyone who has reported back so far: thelackey and sick_of_me03 (aka the only black chick at the punk show that isn't venue security!), had a great time! And because it bears repeating: Naked!Mike! Naked!Tré! They'd better put it out on DVD!

*blinks* Who knew black + silver could look so damn different on the same guy??? (I know which look I prefer... lol) I appreciate your squee. *g* Wondering, though, if it might be better for him *not* to win, and snag a recording contract elsewhere after? Happened on Canadian Idol ages ago - Jacob actually asked his fans to not vote for him and ended up coming in third, then getting with a band and having some success that way, without having to toe the Idol pop line.

19E has the right of first refusal for all the contestants, so even if he went out this week, they'd have the right to sign him -- which they certainly would.

I tried a bunch of ways to capture that Rob interview, but everything I tried failed. :-(

I did not know that. Smart of them, kind of hedge their bets with the talent vs. popularity votes. Makes it uncomplicated to cheer him on then!

Ooooo thanks. Someone on the board did finally get it so I have it now. I don't know what she used to get it, though. I still appreciate the effort! ♥
