sick_of_me03 is here and we're just hanging out drinking wine, listening to music (Green Day and Blaqk Audio), gabbing, and surfing the interwebs.
We're meeting up tomorrow withfeels_like_fire and _somniac_ to see Fall Out Boy in San Jose. I figure we don't have to be there at the crack of dawn to get in line because, after all, it is a school day. Can't cut Algebra II just so you can get next to Pete to tell him he's the love of your life. I do plan on shouting out "BASKET CASE!!!!" at the top of my lungs at every opportunity. Too bad I don't know any songs by any of the three opening bands except that Delilah song.
Just got the word courtesy ofindie_wonka that Blaqk Audio will be playing a New Years Eve show in San Francisco at a SOMA club called the Mezzanine. Tix go on sale this Saturday AM. The club only holds about 1000, so I don't have much hope. Tickets are also from $50 to $200. As I said to mikeyface and feels_like_fire, for 200 bucks it'd better include oral sex from Davey. Still, I don't have plans for NYE, and I can think of worse ways to spend it.
Mucho Thanks tomy_own_beat_now for the reminder about the Top 25 Grammy Moments special this Friday, and the news that Billie Joe will make at least a brief videotaped appearance. I'm proud to admit I totally stuffed the ballot box voting for their American Idiot performance. However, I join my fellow LJ friends in sadness that the three members of Green Day can't find a way to be in the same fucking room at the same time.
Yeah, I know. I owe you guys an EEB post. With pictures. I promise, next week.
I miss Green Day. Really. Listening to a marching band doing "Holiday" (or "The Holiday," according to Al Roker) just isn't cutting it.
