Free Audio Ripper/Converter
Dec. 19th, 2006 12:20 pmAs a Mac user, this is of no use to me, but I am sure a number of folks of my flist could use this.
I was alerted to this by
rahalia_cat in this journal entry. You can download and activate this program today only for the next 11 hrs or so (Midnight California time). Direct Audio Converter is usually $25, and it looks like a great little program to have if you rip or convert audio. I'd get it if I used a PC. :-)

Date: 2006-12-20 03:07 am (UTC)Looks like a decent program, but when you run it the first time, it says it’s only good for a 30 day trial. Ok, so it’s free for 30 days, then you have to register for $24.95 if you want to keep it. So I guess I’m a cheapskate for assuming that “free” means “free,” no 30 day trial stuff.

Run activate.exe to register the software (get rid of trial warning), the file is inside the .zip package.

More details please on the registration process. I have run the activate program and tried using the registration key provided followed by shutting down the program before full activation was possible - still advised that it’s only good for a 30 day trial with limitations on the program.

So it just looks like there's a little more digging to make it a permanent programme. Thanks for the heads-up, Mary!
