Mar. 15th, 2009 08:55 amOK, first of all, I want all my Green Day peeps to gather 'round for a giant group hug and a rousing chorus of Kumbaya. (Or Welcome to Paradise. Sorry, I couldn't get the rights for F.O.D.)
The greatest thing about my LJ flist is that we all hang out in different places, but we all come back here to roost, so to speak. For that reason, there is nothing that happens with this band that doesn't make it back to my flist pronto. This is the place to get it first. The news about Mike's wedding? That still hasn't hit the fandom yet. It's not on GDC or Greenday.net or IC. If you're reading this, you are one of the first to know.
And it allows me to breathe a sigh of relief, because I know then something good happens (tour schedules, ticket sales, "secret" shows), I have complete faith that I will find out about it before 99% of the universe.
I am thrilled beyond words to have found such a great group of friends that allow me to sit at the cool kid's table with them.
