Well, sort of.

I'm sitting at the gate for my flight from LAX to Santa Maria, which doesn't depart for 2.5 hours. So I figured I could shell out $5 for a magazine, or shell out $10 for internet access. (So much for reading.) I already read the entire Sunday Times of London on the 7.5 hour flight to D.C., and the inflight magazine as well as the damn junk catalog on the 5.5 hr flight from D.C. to LA. Does anyone remember the days when airlines had magazines? Of course, it seemed like the only choices were Ebony or Golf Digest, but still! (And my iPod ran out of juice over the Atlantic Ocean, to add insult to injury!)

My watch still says 2300, but it's 3pm here and 88 degrees. When I got up this AM my watch said 0450, so I am pretty much the walking dead. Didn't get a whole lot of sleep over the last ten days, as you might imagine, but damn, it was worth every second.

I've got some pics to post and stories to tell, which I promise to do with reasonable haste. London is an amazing city. It has that 24 hour a day energy that I've only ever seen before in NYC. There is no way that I won't be going back. I saw all of the "big things" I wanted to see, but there's a ton of other stuff that I would have done if I had had more time. I even started learning the language!
