Did you miss me?

Hell, does anyone remember me?

Anyway, I had a truly amazing, awesome time. I came down with a nasty bronchitis on the last two days, but fortunately I didn't miss any diving. I'm planning to put together a slide show of some of my under and above water pictures in a few days.

So I'm completely beat, but I have 8 million things to do, including catching up on 200+ flist entries. Much love and hugs to the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] tasyfa who has kindly linked me to 1) Her and [livejournal.com profile] looking_spiffy'sTFoWS--Parts 4 & 5 2) Her & [livejournal.com profile] leighrowena's long awaited office supply porn & 3) Her always insightful musings on Green Day. On my own, I managed to find the Est!Mike/Billie update (for which I dropped everything to read--*OMG! fans self*) If there's something that I absolutely should not miss, please, please, please take pity on me and send me the link!

Now I must go do laundry, wash scuba gear, and continue making amends to my 2 very put-out feline friends. I missed you guys alot! I leave you with the best photo of the 700 or so that I shot in the last 2 weeks:

Instructions:
List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your Livejournal along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they're listening to.

1) Tom Petty and the Heatbreakers (with Stevie Nicks) "Insider"
There was a time in the late 70s/early 80s when I believe it was a law that every album released had to have a duet with Stevie Nicks on it. This is probably the best one. If you only download one song, download this one.

2) Matthew Good Band "Prime Time Deliverance"
Damn. The more I listen to Matthew Good, the more I like him.

3) Green Day "No One Knows"
I'm in love with the last part where Billie sings a voice-over harmony of different lyrics on top of the refrain. Sigh. (I'm not uploading it because everyone on my flist certainly has it. So go listen to it. Now.)

4) AFI "This Time Imperfect"
Not a huge fan of Davey and the boys (it's kinda stunning how they just exploded after so long), but this song is lovely. Just before the final chorus (at 3:12) he emits this "Oh..." that's heart-wrenchingly perfect.

5) Elvis Costello "Alison"
I saw the little teaser clip of Elvis and Billie performing this together (thank you [livejournal.com profile] tasyfa), and I love it even more. (Uhh, not to mention Billie Joe, if that's possible.)

6) The Living End "Bloody Mary"
The Living End is Australia's biggest band, and their latest CD was released here in the US on Adeline Records last Tuesday. ([livejournal.com profile] _somniac_ and I will be going to see them in San Francisco in August. We're definitely not hoping their record label owner will be there. Oh no, not us.) This song is actually off their first album from several years ago. Not sure why I like it, I just do.

7) Taking Back Sunday "A Decade Under The Influence"
Too catchy not to sing along with!

I'm only gonna tag [livejournal.com profile] _somniac_, with one restriction: no more than 2 Green Day songs!
