Joey's shark squeeeee post reminded me that I was going to post this:

[Error: unknown template video]

This was a night dive in 20ft of water at a place called Manuelita Shallow. The white tip sharks feed there every night. I took this using the video function of my little point and shoot, using the light from the real video cameras of my friends.

Click to play.

PS--If anyone knows the HTML so it will play in this window, dígame por favor! Thank you [livejournal.com profile] rahalia_cat!

OMG you took that! OMG I was freaking out the whole time! I have a real fear of 'breathing' under water. I have tried snorkeling but it always ends in total disaster. Ive never gone scuba diving, which I really think I would have a hard attack, or quit breathing and pass out. but seeing the sharks were very unreal.. I would have not been that calm. I guess I was drown as a child, I have the fear mentioned above, plus I can't swim in large bodies of water, and NEVER after dark in any water. Big baths tend to make me kind of "monkish" LOL.. how ridiculous I sound, but it's true. I glad you had a good time. I am amazed by the video and thank you for sharing it!

Not scary at all actually!

They're going after fish and octopus hiding between the rocks.

And why weren't they eating you guys?

For the same reason they don't eat clowns.....

*wait for it, people*

They taste funny!!!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA---They could not care less about us...they are just not interested.

Well, it's not for everyone. I grew up on the beaches of Los Angeles getting knocked over by 4 ft., 60 degree waves, so I have no fear of water at all. I miss the ocean if I'm away from it for long. But I'm glad you could enjoy my experience from the safety of your own computer! :-)

That's pretty incredible footage there. And yeah, the Darth Vader breathing really adds to the atmosphere. :)

I was talking about it with my brother to see if something traumatic or what happened to me when I was a kid since I don't remember. He couldn't either, but the only thing we could come up with is: he did let me watch jaw when I was very small and he said it made me throw up and I had night mares for a week. *shrugs* maybe it could have scared me for life..lol

Anyway thanks for sharing, I showed my brother the clip he loved it, he wished he could do that. he asked if you had eaten shark before (we did once i didn't care for it, but he likes it if it's grilled just right) :0)

No, I don't think I've ever had shark. :-) I'd rather swim with them.

Thanks. When you're in the water, you don't even notice the sounds at all. I was surprised by it even.
