News Flash --Adam kisses a guy...
Jun. 25th, 2010 12:17 pmI don't care if it's stage gay or Oscar winning performances, or if they're fucking like bunnies in real life, I could watch 00:20 - 00:40 on loop forever. Tommy's omnomnom and Adam's "I'm so ridiculous" laugh at the end are the best parts.
Which leads into a "When Fandoms Colide" moment from TMZ:
Green Day's Man-on-Man Kiss
Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong pulled an Adam Lambert and kissed a male fan on the lips while on stage at a concet in England on Wednesday.
No word if "GMA" will cancel any future Green Day performances.

Of course, we all know Billie's been doing this for YEARS! (Including with his cute bass player!)
Adam and Green Day have been doing incredibly well on their respective tours (albeit, on different scales), which makes me squee with happiness. The boys played to 75,000+ people at Wembley last week. They played almost 3 hours and the set list was to die for. I'm hoping a little of that magic stays with them when they make their trip back home in a couple of months. Audrey and Marisa and Kat and I have tickets for the last show of the tour at the Shoreline in San Jose, CA, with AFI opening, which is one of the best double bills I can think of! We've decided to do it differently this time. Since we've seen them from the front row already, we bought lawn tickets for $20 so we can see them from the back row. There will be blankets and binoculars and booze. It should be an excellent time.
Adam's tour is doing better than even hardcore fan-tards like me have hoped. He's sold out virtually every show and is getting good critical reviews. He's playing the Warfield on 23July, then the Thunder Valley Casino, near Sacramento on the 24th, then because his first SF show sold out so fast, they added a second show on the 25th at the Warfield, which also sold out in a day. * \o/* And yep, I've got tickets to all three, and Kat and Marisa and Audrey will all be at the second SF show with me. YAY!
He's been closing his shows with a seriously scorching hot cover of Whole Lotta Love. Someone on twitter said her bf turned to her and said it was like his first gay fuck...and he liked it!
In RL stuff...work has been kicking my ass, as usual, and it looks like it's going to be that way through at least September. I'm hoping after that I can slow down a little. The weather has been sucky lately, so that takes the sting off it. I am often reminded of Mark Twain's famous saying "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."
I hope everyone is going to have a great weekend!

Date: 2010-06-29 05:54 pm (UTC)WTF is up with those boys anyway? Adam is only doing a post-ballgame show in Tampa, and NO GREEN DAY?
Can you come out here for the Sept 4th show? Me. Kat, Marisa, Audrey all getting toasted and dancing on the lawn at GD's last show? C'mon...you know you want to!

Date: 2010-06-29 11:46 pm (UTC)No worries about the comments, bb. I know you're busy, but you always know where to find me. :D
As for Sept 4th ..........
HOLYFUCKYES!!!!!!!!!
Duuuuuuude, I'd love to! It's a weekend, which means getting the time off work is almost a given. (I'll work it out, or even be "sick" if I had to!)
The only problem as it stands right now, is a ticket for the show. Where can I get one? SIGN ME UP! I saw your comment earlier, and when I told my mom about it, even she was excited about it. (She's usually against every trip I want to take!)
COUNT ME IN, BABY! :D What about Bren? Can we get Brendon in on this? OMG!!
Okay, we'll obviously have to chat whenever we can to work out the fine details but I'M IN. What airport would I fly to & from so I can get an idea about flights? (Mom even said she'd chip in if flights were expensive, so I'm good to go!)
Can you tell I'm fucking excited? Green Day + Mary + CALIFORNIA (which I miss almost as much as I miss YOU) + Kat + Audrey AND Marisa?
I can't miss this!!!!! :D

Date: 2010-06-30 01:33 am (UTC)They're GA lawn seats, so there are tons available. http://www.livenation.com/event/1C0044C3C8E575F5 (And they're only $20!) The show is Sat 4 Sept. The only issue is that it's Labor Day weekend, so you want to grab a flight quickly. Fly into SFO and I'll come get you, and you stay with me, and fly home the 6th or 7th. Like I said, piece of cake.
Book your flight and let me know! :-)

Date: 2010-06-30 06:36 am (UTC)Flights aren't much of an issue yet. They look good so far, and I can afford to go ahead and buy them asap. (I'm thinking within the next day or so.)
Okay, flying into SFO - check!
I just need to fine tune a few things now. When should I arrive? Afternoon of the show? (4th?) or Friday, the 3rd? I'm good with either day. Let me know what's good for you. And departing 6th or 7th, depending on flight schedules & fare, sounds good too :D
I'm booking this asap & worrying about nonsensical details like work later. ;)
In other news: WHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! :D

Date: 2010-06-30 12:00 pm (UTC)I'm so excited you're coming out! *sealclap*
You can come out the 3rd or 4th, whichever works best for you. Show is at 7p, so probably doors at 6p. I definitely want to see AFI. Bring binoculars though! :-)
So yeah, it's all good...just get your tickets for whatever works best for you
YAYAYAYAYAYYAY!

Date: 2010-07-01 07:00 am (UTC)I AM EXCITED TOO! :) And especially since it's going to be GD/AFI! Holyshit!
I'm thinking to fly in the 3rd. That way we can get settled, catch up, relax, etc & prepare for the EPIC CONCERT EXCITEMENT.
I'm just working out the specifics with mom, because she'll have to chauffer me to and from the airport. I'll let you know as soon as I get my ticket squared away, but it'll be within the next few days. :D
XOXOXO

Also, it hasn't been announced yet, but the Adam fandom ninjas have discovered that Adam is playing the Hard Rock in Hollywood, FL on Sept. 19th...if you have a chance you should definitely go!
