Raise Your Hands Now to Testify....
May. 24th, 2009 11:15 amAbsolutely loved the CBS profile of Green Day this morning. Complimentary without being fawning, it was a nice overview of the band from and for people that are not invested in the band or the business. I liked it better than a lot of the profiles I've seen from "music journalists." You got a sense of their personalities without all the hipster music BS. Every time Mike opens his mouth, I love him more.
I was really hoping that my Adam obsession would wane now that the show is over, but nope. There are interviews to be read and message boards to be followed and video clips to watch and songs to be downloaded and pictures to be drooled over. He was already in negotiations with the record and management people before the finale, which probably explains why he doesn't exactly appear devastated at his loss. (That and the fact that he and Kris really do appear to be BFFs of a sort.) I have no idea what his album will sound like, which for many is a common criticism of him, but I hardly care. Put me on the pre-order list now.
Between Green Day and Adam Lambert, my poor TiVo is gonna burn out. Every day there is something about at least one of them on TV.
It's a good time to be a fan.
